What’s up, everyone!

It’s Seth, and this is my first official post on The Blog.

As writing tends to come as a more natural way of communicating than speaking for me, I’ve been wanting to have a personal blog for quite some time. It’s always a good feeling to see a major goal finally become a reality.

But enough about me. Here’s three reasons why I created The Blog with you in mind and the different ways it can have a positive effect on your life.

1. To Spread Real Motivation and Inspiration

I throw that “real” in front because I’m not a fan of the faux-motivation that can come from individuals in the health and fitness industry. I’ve always felt that while they are some great and amazing people in this industry, there’s also a fair share of snobby and stuck up people as well.

My goal is to share with you real motivation and inspiration as someone you can relate to. Although our goal should always be to aim toward perfection, people can only truly relate to those who share their struggle (or, at least, those who go through some form of struggle as well).

As someone who is trying to break the struggle of procrastination, inconsistency, and more, one of my goals for The Blog is for it to serve as a platform for a community of individuals seeking to better themselves each and everyday. With this in mind, posts containing motivational quotes, stories, and more will be frequent as reminders to continue to stay on path and reach your goals.

2. To Share the Latest Health and Fitness Information

The tagline of The Blog is “The latest takes on all things health and fitness.”

I chose the phrase “health and fitness” for two reasons. One, it’s a popular phrase that everyone can recognize. Two, it encompasses so much more than what you do in the gym.

Health and fitness includes areas such as your mindset/mental health, your breathing patterns, your eating habits, and so much more. It’s not just how many miles you can run on a treadmill or how many repetitions you can complete on a bench press set — it’s also how you care for yourself the twenty-three hours when you’re not in the gym.

My goal is to bring transparency and show you the evidence to each and every idea or method that’s used in any of my training programs, as well as build a platform that focuses on sharing these concepts with the general public. The more people who can find this information and change their lives in a positive way, the better.

3. To Connect with Others

This is both a personal goal of mine as well as my idea of The Blog for others.

The Blog is obviously made for those in a certain niche — those in the health and fitness community (specifically, those more focused on functional fitness, eating clean, practicing breath work, etc.). Along with seeking to connect with clients and other members of the The Blog, I’d like The Blog to serve as a community for people to connect with others and share ideas and new information. A community where people can create friendships and better themselves — and others — in the process.

Conclusion

Make of The Blog what you will. Whether it’s your new spot for the latest health and fitness information, a place to connect with like-minded people, or whatever it becomes for you, I only ask that you use it as a tool for you to better yourself. Like I said earlier, true health and fitness is more than just sets and reps in the gym. Although what you do in the gym is very important, true health and fitness is a lifestyle and should be treated as such.
